Meet The Retrovert
Matt Walters is an almost young teacher living in Central Florida. Teaching English Literature and Writing to hundreds of eager and lethargic teens each year, Matt sees a lot. His whole job is to be able to engage and react to things at the tip of a hat, except he doesn’t like wearing hats, and if he did, he wouldn’t wear many.
Everyone Matt knew always told him that he had a knack for humor. This trait gave him a unique ability to reach kids who didn’t want to be reached by making fun of himself before they had the chance to make fun of him. They would still make fun of him, but it turned into a mutual, “all in good fun” kind of mockery. Matt’s unique and humorous take on the world has encouraged him to reach an audience through both fiction and non-fiction writing.
This website has a collection of old and new, long and short, serious and silly. From short stories, to blogs, to full-length novels, Matt has done it all. With this, he want to show as much as he can to as many readers as possible. With a specific aim on humor but not lacking heart, Matt views a wide range of topics through a wide array of lenses—even if the prescription is outdated.
